About the Designer
Amanda graduated from Simon Fraser University’s Faculty of Communication, Art and Technology (B.A. Communications) and Master of Publishing program (M.Pub) in 2006 and 2012 respectively. She spent the early years of her career in marketing, communication design and editorial positions, and grew to love publication design in particular over the years.
Backed by her understanding of marketing strategy and skill in photography, Amanda looks to help her clients produce beautiful and impactful visual representations that communicate their content effectively while at the same time allowing each brand’s individual personality to shine through.
Amanda has previously worked with Christian ministries, non-profits, book publishers and small business owners to meet their creative and marketing needs. She currently works as Graphic Designer at Focus on the Family Canada, and when time allows, she occasionally takes on branding, website and wedding stationery projects.
About the Photographer
Amanda fell in love with the art of photography while planning her own wedding in 2008. She immediately bought her first Canon DSLR camera and has not looked back since.
As a self-taught photographer, Amanda enjoys using the medium to capture and celebrate the things she loves: family, travel, weddings, design and the arts. Her approach is mainly photojournalistic while also giving some direction to her subjects. Utilizing as much natural light as possible, her vision is to create radiant images that bring out the intrinsic beauty and authenticity in people, in creation, in life’s big moments and even in what could be perceived as the uneventful mundane things in everyday life.
Combining her love for photography with her creative abilities, Amanda often brings a strong photographic aesthetic to her design work as well.
